Star Fox is Back Baby! – The N64 Classic is Getting Remade and I’m Stupid Hyped

Yo, after watching the new Super Mario Galaxy movie and seeing Fox McCloud show up on screen, I immediately knew Nintendo was up to something big. And here we are — they’re officially remaking the legendary Star Fox 64 for the Switch 2.This is the game that had me glued to my N64 back in the day, screaming “Do a barrel roll!” while dodging asteroids and dogfighting in the Lylat system. I grew up on both the SNES and N64 versions, so seeing this remake looking this clean has me properly excited. From the previews, they’re keeping that same addictive on-rails shooting gameplay we loved, but with modern graphics, smoother controls, and better cinematics. Fox, Falco, Slippy, and Peppy all looking sharper than ever. Nintendo really said “let’s feed the OGs” this year. June 25, 2026 can’t come fast enough. I’m ready to dust off my old muscle memory and go full nostalgia mode.If you were a Star Fox kid like me… this one’s personal. Do a barrel roll, baby. Let’s fucking go!
