Do you think Ubisoft is trying to save itself by remaking probably the best Assassin's Creed game?
Are They Trying To Rip Us Off Again?
Listen, a decade ago I played Assassin’s Creed Black Flag and in my completely unbiased opinion, that shit was the best Assassin’s Creed game ever made. Peak pirate fantasy. Best naval combat. Best open world.
Now Ubisoft is out here announcing a full remake called Black Flag Resynced like they didn’t spend the last 8 years running the franchise straight into the ground.
Bro… y’all really sank this hard, huh? Or are we just watching Ubisoft pull a full Bethesda “Oblivion Remake” special? You know — take one of your few actually beloved classics, polish the graphics, add some modern slop, charge full price, and pray the nostalgia addicts save your dying company.
Don’t get me wrong — the trailer looks clean as hell. But after Mirage, Shadows, and that endless parade of mid live-service garbage… I’ll believe it when I’m actually sailing that Jackdaw again without bugs, microtransactions, or some woke nonsense injected into my pirate fantasy.
Ubisoft probably said: “The franchise is dying… quick, remake the one game everybody still jerks off to!”
We’ll see if this is a genuine W… or just another expensive corpse paint job.
What y’all think? Are you buying Black Flag Resynced day one or waiting for the inevitable $30 sale in 2027?
